I first met Scott Ritter, a former US Marine and UN Weapons Inspector in Iraq in 2007 when we hosted him for a weekend of speaking and workshops about US relations with Iran. He spoke at Washington University to students of Fatemeh Keshavarz, gave a public lecture at the Ethical Society, and then spent Saturday with us in a workshop at the Friends’ Meeting.
In the intervening 15 years, I have learned a great deal from Scott about arms control negotiations and serious diplomacy. This half-hour segment will introduce you to Scott’s understanding of the conflict between the United States, NATO and the collective West and Russia from its inception after the dissolution of the Soviet Union to the present.
